Regulations:
RESERVES
The rules state that reserves need to pay $10 on the night of a game they are playing. We suggest that competition players ask the reserve to give $10 to your partner, so your partner can return the money back to you when you resume play. We have notified the reserves of this procedure.
Please do not rely on the meeting organiser to collect the $10 for you as most of the time, we do not know who is reserving for who.
FORFEITING
If a team forfeits, they should immediately inform the opponent team that your team cannot play. As the courts are now all pre-paid, there will be no refunds. The only exception will be an injury that has meant you cant play for the remainder of the season.
However, we do have some suggestions about how the courts can be utilised in event of a team forfeit.
Option 1:
The team who did not forfeit, can still turn up to play singles against each other.
Option 2:
If the courts are cancelled at least 24 hours before of the match, you can then reschedule your match to other time. Either to another day or if we do not use up the rain extension weeks, it can be used for forfeited matches. There will be no extra payment for this re-match. This way, no one looses out on the pre-payment of the court money.
We hope you understand why we have these rules in place and our suggestions aim to make it a fairer on everybody.
